The client produced a comprehensive brief for their new beach house on the waterfront at Omaha. They also produced a "mood board" to illustrate their view of a new building evocative of boatsheds and the traditional older New Zealand baches, painted in creosote to protect the weatherboards. The resultant building is true to the brief. These elegant boatsheds sit comfortably among Omaha's sand dunes and embody modern comforts with traditional forms.
